I have the M31's I purchased in July but the cord for the right ear is almost broken so I'm looking to replace it. Would headphones like the A151's suit me? One of my complaints about the M31's is that the bass muffles the the person who is singing. My goal for my next headphone purchase is that I need a IEM that has less bass with lots of detail.
 
So would it be wise for me to purchase the A151's coming from the M31's?

Less bass and lots of detail. That tells me that you probably will like them! I've had them for a while now and I absolutely adore them. I recommend them fully.
