I won an auction for a pair of blown 770's today. (9 euro)
I figured i could order a pair of 880 drivers, if they will give the phones a sound closer to 880. Do they fit in 770?

Based on having disassembled both cans, I'd say yes, however this is only speculation, since I didn't have both at the same time.

They may fit but it would never sound right. Closed-back designs operate on different principles and thus need to be tuned very differently. I would just get some new 770 drivers.
