I have my speakers and headphone amplifier hooked up to an RCA splitter which runs out of my schiit modi and schiit loki. I was wondering if this would do anything to degrade the sound quality. If it's of interest, the amplifier is the HDVA600 and the headphones are the HD800. The speakers are Cambridge Audio S30 running out of some 100 dollar amplifier that says Audiosource on it.

If it of decent quality probably no loss that would be noticed. I would go with something like a Schiit Sys as it will isolate the two. My Yggdrasil has two rca outs and a balanced out and when my Cavalli Liquid Carbon is hooked up balanced and not turned on anything on the rca’s is distorted turn it on and all is good. Not for sure if it is the phase splitter on the Carbon or a balanced thing but shows how something can effect others just saying.
