Will a DAC AMP dongle improve an LG V phone's sound? Or will it just take over the jobs? Thanks

My guess is the latter but as I am buying phones to try and find one that works with my iBasso DC03, I wondered if it might be doubly good to switch from Samsung to LG. I would go for the V50 as it is cheap yet new enough to be useful for a long time. But if the dongle works with the Note 8 on the way I may get a V20 just to compare, as they are very cheap and their batteries are ultra cheap.

So the DAC and AMP in the phone is irrelevant? The superior ones in LG V phones won't somehow make the iBasso sound even better?

The smartphone's built in DAC and headphone amplifier will be bypassed when you plug the iBasso DC-03 into the phones USB port.
I like using my DC-03 with my LG V35 ThinQ smartphone, it's better then the phone's built in audio hardware.
