They have finally brought keyboard support to the Wii for both the browser and sending messages through the friend codes. I've owned a simple USB keyboard for my PS2 for a couple of years, mostly just collecting dust. Since the 10th I've been using my wii more and more to surf the web since my living room is far more comfortable than my computer/game room.
I couldn't be happier with my Wii.
(I should also say that this update couldn't have come sooner since my computer has been broken for some time and I have been forced to use my wife's computer.)
