I would appreciate any recommendations folks have for a WiFi Internet Tuner. This piece would be remote from my wireless router, and I would use it to access internet radio stations. There are some stand alone radios (with speakers and amplification built in) and would be happy to hear thoughts on these, but I am really thinking about this as a more pure source component, a tuner that I would run into some nice electronics for amplification.

Squeezebox? No speakers, but it definitely fits the bill as a component.

Yes, a Squeeze Box would fit the bill. I was thinking about a Squeeze Box incorrectly, more as linking wirelessly to a computer, but I see it will access a wireless router directly. They also have a transporter that appears to be a step up from the Squeeze Box.

Any other makers out there of an equivalent device that I could compare with the Squeeze box?

I do not know anything about it but as a Radio Paradise listener I have heard them mention Roku Soundbridge
