note here, always prefer HW over SW processing.

Here is the golden setting
Use As needed
Do not keep & process limit!
Best to not keep & 2 process is best for high bit DSDs
HiBy beats UAPP Easily when I tweak.
Do not have a spare phone to post on forums, switch off the Dev options, some will not be remembered .
Some of these reset on boot.

I use no DAC at all, only internal DAC.
I cannot play many OTG DSD anymore on UAPP yet Hiby plays internal much better, 750 k dsd, all discovered this week. I have sent 20 or. More bebug files to UApp in a month!

Even without dac, uapp still can detect dac of smartphone and run bit perfect.

So if you are not using any other dac only internal phone dac why even play dsd files as they are being converted into Pcm? Kinda seems like a waste to me and counter productive.

I hear no difference & hiby is not doing PCM, but DSD it plays 750 k while UA only manages 250k
See the screen shots.

Except your phone cant do dsd so it has to convert to pcm.

UA no sir, DSD all the way.
Hiby seems to also but if you know better about Hiby, ok.
But set android to variable for both apps.
Just because it plays dsd does not mean it outputs dsd. It still converts it to pcm as the dac is not capable of native dsd.

Sorry man it sucks. I know you prefer Vinyl then dsd, but that is just how it goes sometimes.

What sucks is the Dac on the V20 is capable of dsd, but because of the phones software nothing will use it without converting the dsd to pcm ulness you use a usb dongle to another device.

Only smartphone that can do native DSD is vivo xplay 6. I'm not sure about LG V30 with default music player as well.

That native setting is for using with external DAC only.
