i read the rules and i understand its to control spam, but im 10 posts in and need to post pictures for help on a thread. anyone know how long it will tke until i can post up some tech pictures?

Not sure, either it's 40 posts or perhaps the mods needs to approve your account. You could try to flag your own post and a mod should come to this thread if it is urgent.

Until you are able to post pics, just use any free service like photobucket and post the link instead. Not that i know this but im guessing the number of posts required isnt a constant number since it would be to obious to spammers.
