Since Head-fi.com is mainly essentially a message board, how come you guys don't come up /w a custom scheme geared toward headphones? *methinks*

Besides working out advertising deals with the likes of Jan and Tyll, as well as chilling /w your latest headphones

You guys have got to have some extra time to work out a cool scheme eh?

Examples of forum schemes I like:

http://www.bikeforums.net/
http://www.mis-forums.com/vbbs/
http://forums.exhardware.com/
http://www.gamingin3d.com/forum

Note: All those forums were vBulletin. Am I just being picky? Or does anyone else think a new scheme would be kewl? I know there are literally dozens of people who would work up a new Head-Fi message board scheme for you for free or for like $10.

What do you guys think?

I looked at the last one -- didn't look much different than this one. Could you specify some examples of what the improvements would be? Just looked at the first one, didn't look much different either. Not sure what you're asking for...other than the colour scheme, in which case, big whup!

The head-fi scheme is one of Vbulletin's default schemes, and it works well, so why change it? (*cough* headwize *cough*).

Well, I guess compared to all the other audophile forums.......*laughs*

Head-fi is by far definitely one of the better looking ones - I"ll agree with you on that. But still, I guess it just looks too plain and "default-look" to me.

I kinda like the current look, but if anything had to be changed, I'd have to say that I really find light text on a dark background to be easier on the eyes than dark text on a light one...

Leave It! I like it... The cruddy colors is one reason I haven't gone back to HeadWize. I liked the old white-and-blue color scheme. I like the current Head-Fi purple-white-and-gray color scheme.

Agreed, this forum looks terrific the way it is.

hear hear!

Personally I think head-fi looks very clean and professional. And who likes change, anyway?

Complaining about colors is silly. Almost all browzers offer user friendly ways of overriding the default colors and fonts. When I view HeadFi, HeadWize or most anything else, I'm looking at white text on black backgrounds in a font that I think is easy to read.

Hey, keep it simple, I don't think rooting for reform will please jude very much. Personally, I don't like the purple, but the rest of it is very neat and easy on the eyes.
