Finally got a pair of AKG 701s (which didn't cost me anything as they are a birthday present). Then play.com had an April 1st sale with the Senn HD600s for £99.99 (60% off list price in the UK) and I just had to buy them (even though I already own HD580s).
Seems £100 is my limit for impulse buying...

Hard to say.
Some are able to leave Head-Fi and live happily with whatever they have, but as long as you stick around here I doubt it ever ends. Unless you go bankrupt that is.

Depends on the jurisdiction, but bankruptcy is supposed to help someone get back on their feet eventually. It's a big roadblock, but it's not the end to headphones if someone works hard enough to claw back
