you want spotify and only spotify to point to a separate audio output device?

the only thing I can think of is to set up multi-output and mute everything but spotify on the second device.

Wht device are you using exactly? My Androids and Ultrabook have Spotify running and automatically select the better output - USB/USB OTG > Headphone out > Built in speakers.

I mean spotify on PC. I want only spotify comes through my separate dac while other sound tracks, e.g. YouTube, go through the speakers on my monitor. I downloaded a audio router and solved the problem. It's surprising that sopity does not have this function it's 21st century.

I'm pretty sure that foobar 2000 has this function... no need to download additional softwares.
