Koss.

KSC 75 portable

Pro4AAT Home

Koss got me interested in headphone sound quality with the UR-30s I bought at Best Buy for $14. I never knew headphones could sound so good; now I know they can sound way better than those even!

Sennheiser (except the PX100 (cheaply made yet 3 times as expensive as the equally as good (if not better) KSC75. Then the HD500 is incredibly bad in every single possible way!) and KOSS.

I never experienced any Grados yet, but if they are harsher then the KSC75, I think I will definitively pass!

The Sennheisers because they are so relaxed...
And the KOSS, well, because I like my KSC75! They sound good for the money, yet nowhere anything awe inspiring...

But I only heard SONYs, ATs, SENNS, Altec Lansing, Panasonic, Plantronics and KOSS, which isn't many manufacturers!

Beyerdynamic, probably because the only truly high-end headphones I've heard are the HD-580 and DT-770. But I own the DT-770

.

I also loved the UE super.fi 5 Pro while I owned them, and the Grado SR-60 when I had the chance to try them out.

I guess that covers 1, 2, and 3.

AKG Until they stopped making K1000

Senn Solely for HE90 Love

Grado Only until they stopped making HP1000

Actually, if one owns all three 'phones mentioned, that would pretty much cover all your needs..

I am a fan of particular headphones, not manufacturers. Every manufacturer makes its share of total crap headphones.
