I HATE that POS(lil wayne) having lil in ur name is so unoriginal. his voice irritates me so much that when he comes on the radio i have to yell to have the people in the front change the station. he seriously sounds like hes dropping a load and talking.

Is it dropping a load or shooting a load??

I said it once and I'll say it again: auto-tune can be used in an artistic way. A few artists that don't need it use it for artistic reasons.

Examples:

Bon Iver singing normally:

Bon Iver using auto-tune:

James Blake singing:

James Blake using autotune:

(it's about halfway into the song)

Autotune isn't just for making bad singers sound good.

I'm sorry, but I just do not have that much respect for any artist who completely auto-tunes their voice. If you can't produce a sound worth listening to, then why are you producing any sound? I just don't see how anyone can take these people seriously when they can't even sing.

it may be used in an artistic way once in a while but 90% of the time it is talentless people looking for a quick buck being run by the music industry. one exception of using it artistically was when avenged sevenfold used it in that one song they did. i don't listen to a7x but i know that one song.

if i had to say one band i cannot stand my vote goes to slipknot. sorry but rap mixed with metal doesn't mix. and 90% of nu metal i cannot stand. in fact to be honest i hate rap in general. just putting my opinion out there. in order for something to be music it needs instruments and computers and turntables doesn't count.

Current artist I never want to hear again.....Sean Paul, thanks to my co-workers.

because his awful voice stained my mountain tops...and made my ears bleed tears of rage.

also anyone get the two song references? And that talentless hack Kid Kudi, seriously....why? Him and Drake need to die in a fire, at their recording studio....with the pile of beats "studio"s they have.

James Blake is on another artistical level than Lil' Wayne and assorted idiots. Autotune used in a nice artistical way is the exeption that proves the rule.

I definitely agree with that, and that song you are thinking of is "Lost" off of their self titled album. They used it very subtly in that song, mostly to achieve very quick transitions between different pitches. Also, for most people that know A7x, M. Shadows can actually come very close to the sounds heard in "Lost." Most people don't realize it, but there was actually very little autotuning in that song.

No arguments there!

Pitbull should retire! He sounds so tired in "Hey Baby"

Because it is used to cover up artistical flaws instead of complimenting the music. (most of the time)

Yeah, and it makes talented people sound less talented
