I plan on ordering some AKG 701's *hopefully* the 15th. I figure my A700's should hold me over for another 15 days. Whats the break in period for a tube amp? About 10 hours?

Well then your head may explode with the Valhalla and 701s.  I enjoy the heck out of my 702s (Cardas) and Asgard.  Enjoy and post some pics for us to drool over when you get them.

Whats the difference between the 701s and the 702s?

K702 has a detachable cable and is a weird indigo blue color. There are no sonic differences.

K702 have removable cable and the K701 dont and the color.

The 702 is black in color not indigo blue

Mine has a slight indigo blue thing going on.

I have it infront of me right now and it is perfectly black, maybe the color is indigo blue in a different production batch.

Doubt it.  Mine shows up better in pictures.
