Why should this be a thing:
-Potentially smaller devices.
-Without having to worry about an amp to throw in there, money and time could be spent more on the DAC, User interface or ETC. Or just reduce the price of the device.
-Probably a few other reasons. feel free to reply with more reasons you think why.
Why shouldn't this be a thing:
-Some people may not read the info on the devices and not realize that the device is pure line-out. (but hey who's fault is it for not reading? also there are cheap $20 USD amps that are decent.)
-More indecisiveness on what to pair things with... (wait, isn't that what the help section of the forums on Head-Fi for?)
-Probably a few other reasons. feel free to reply with more reasons you think why not.
