Seems like every time I read a review or impressions thread, people talk about excessive treble or particularly sibilant treble as being the sole factor responsible for fatiguing headphones.
Personally, I’ve never found this to be the case... If a headphone expresses those traits, I stop listening to them almost immediately... It’s more akin to touching a hot stove than “fatigue”.
Cans that cause me fatigue over, say, thirty minutes or more of listening tend to do so from the lower registers- an extreme mid-bass hump, that makes the mids shouty, for instance.
