Carl Palmer in his prime!




Balls out solo!











I didn’t see Carl Palmer with Emerson, Lake and Palmer, but I saw him with Asia in about 1984 so I think he was still in prime form. I’ll never forget the drum solo that evening, an absolutely incredible performance.

I personally liked earlier Prog Rush, with my fav album being Permanent Waves..
In my opinion thats their best album and their last great Prog album.
I always liked the 2nd Rush Album (Fly By Night) as that was the 1st with all Neal..
The recording is really dry, not a lot of "verb on it, and Neal's drum sound is really raw and live.
Neal's Technique was already totally dialed in, even then....

Lol thanks...you too, they are one of my favourites for sure! I've seen them a half dozen times through the years here in their home town YYZ. :)
