Hey guys,

So I purchased the Revvol1C from dantimax (http://electronics.dantimax.dk/). Soldered it up, and threw it in the B22. The problem i'm having is white noise, a constant hiss(not hum) when it is hooked up. This hiss changes marginally with each attenuation step.

I emailed mikhail, and he said that it could be that the power supply is introducing noise into the circuit. I based the +5V on the following design:

http://www.tkk.fi/Misc/Electronics/circuits/psu_5v.html

I wanted to run some stuff by you guys and see what you thought.

The trafo I'm using is a really cheap one ripped from a $3 walwart, which is outputting a voltage a tad higher than the 7805 chip is spec'd for.

I"m running the dc out from the PS case to the Amp case, a large distance.

What are your thoughts?

regards,

Michael
