m having a bit of trouble here. I have the iGrados and a Neutrik 3.5mm plug. Im trying to solder the Canare star quad cable but i dont know where the wire goes. I was given a description of which wire goes where but not specifically with this cable.. I would appreciate it if anyone helps point me in the right direction. Also what does that white plastic thing do, it came with the neutrik plug and im not sure what its for. The pictures are as follows..

i just re-wired my headphones and there were three solder connections on the mini jack (left, right and ground)- from the picture it looks like you've only got two there????

Sorry for the bad picture quality, Theres three solder connections im sure of it. Any suggestions?

How you have the headphones cup placed in the picture. Left wire goes to ground on the Jack, and right wire goes to left or right channel depending on which is which.

Thanks for the link, i understand how to solder to the drivers now. What i still don't understand is soldering to the plug. Since im going to be left with 4 wires, how is it going to be connected to the three solder points?

The connector is a TRS (Tip, Ring, Sleeve). Tip = Left Signal, Ring = Right Signal, and Sleeve = Ground. Ground will have two wires connected.

ok i think ive got it roughly. Hopefully nothing bad will happen. Who knows, i probably will fry the drivers or something. Worth a try anyway... Thanks for the replies.
