I'm purchasing the ATH-ES7's but I don't know if I should purchase them through Buy.com or JR.com.

Buy.com says the suggested price is 280.00 but they are selling them for under 100 dollars.

JR.com says the suggested price is 170.00 but they are selling them for under 100 dollars as well.

I was wondering if anybody knows which one of these sites has better warranties or anything of that sorts.

buy.com is not often an authorized dealer... where as I think that JR.com might be

that said, I've boughten from buy.com numerous times without any problem.

JR is not suppose to have any problems either.

so that means JR.com would be able to give me a warranty on the headphones and Buy.com would not be able to give me one?

The manufacturer's warranty should apply regardless of the store you purchase from (assuming phones are new, etc.). I too am a Buy.com customer and have never had any problems.

Neither are authorized internet resellers according to Audio Technica's web site:

I have no idea how stringent AT is about enforcing purchases from authorized resellers if you have a warranty issue, but between those 2 it wouldn't matter. In my experience both have a pretty good rep, although I've probably bought more off J&R over the years.

I've purchased many things from J&R and have never had a problem with them, with the exception of a defective Sony television which was not J&R's fault.
