Hello, sorry for my English, but I'm from Poland and I was on a party yesterday

I'm newbie. My dad is currently in Canada and he will buy me a portable mp3 player. And the question is which should I choose? I thought about iPod 30GB, iAudio X5L(or something like that

), Creative ZEN Vision W 30GB(does it really sounds so horrible?, I thought about it because of big screen) or something else... Do you have any better options?? I have headphones grado sr80 and I'm thinking about Ultrasone 2500...

which operating system do you run? if you run windows, look into the zune, which has superb headphone out sound quality, and a big screen

no. if you're running linux, like ubuntu, like you are, try the x5. it supports FLAC, and many other lossless codecs, and it is pretty cheap

i do not think that the zune can read wav files. you might wanna look into the gigabeat f series. they can use rockbox, and are pretty cheap ($130 for 40 gb)
