Hi there, this is my first thread in this forum and hope to get some of your knowledge to help getting the right portable amp.
 
I currently own the following headphones:
 

• Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro
• Sony MDR-XB90EX
• Bose SIE2i Sport

 
My iPhone 4S is my main music player, so which of the following amps would you recommend:
 

• Fiio Kilimanjaro-E11
• Fiio ALPEN-E17
• Fiio MONT BLANC-E12

The Fiio amps are all very similar - the differences in sound are not very significant. The E11 is an older model, and I think the E12 & E17 are considered to have somewhat better amps. The E12 is probably the best pure amp of the bunch. The primary difference between the E17 and the E12 is that the E17 is both a USB DAC and an amp. So, if you ever plan to use the amp with your PC, then the E17 can become your sound card. For the relatively small difference in price between the low (E11) and the high (E17), I would get the E17 just because I think you get more your money.
