Hello,

I've had a chance to listen to the AKG K242HD, and while I did like their sound, I found they lacked of detail. Therefore I am looking for headphones with a similar kind of sound, i.e. not too boring nor too analytical, but with a good level of detail.
I thought about the K272HD, but I've read that since they're "studio" headphones, they may sound boring. If they have the same kind of sound as the 242's, they wouldn't be boring at all. How do they compare to each other?

Thanks in advance.

They are closed version and they sound similar to 242hd. Akg 242hd is commercial version(different color) of 240 which are used in studio too.  If you liked 242 you'll like 272.

You have to listen the K272HD first, see if you like them and go for it!

Anyways, here's another similar thread.

Compared to my memories of my (now broken) Phillips SBC HP890. The only thing I know about the amp is the brand: a Yamaha. I've also listened to the Grados s225 on that amp, and while they provided more detail, I didn't like their sound at all.
