I'm in search of a cheap source for my MINT and HD 600's, I know it's not going to sound mindblowing but I plan on upgrading in the future - I just need a better source "for now"

Anyway, which would sound better with my gear - the Sony D-777's Line Out or an entry level full size CD player like a Cambridge Audio CD32 or Sony CDP-XE270/370? The CD32 is only £59.99 at Richer Sounds (reduced from £99.99) and the XE270/370 are £70 and £80. I can get the D-777 for about the same price. I know the resale value on the D-777 would be more but I'm not really bothered about that, I just want the best sound for my money right now.

High-end discman, or entry-level deck?

Here is the link to the CD32: http://www.richersounds.co.uk/index....l.php&p=301276

Thanks

You'd probably (certainly) be better off going for a CD player with a "fresh" lazer. I don't want to get into the PCDP / standalone debate but , IMO, you'd be best choosing a brand new CD player.

I would, personally, recommend the Marantz CD player that Richer sounds are selling for £99 ATM........... a Mint with a regulated 15V PSU, decent source and HD600's will sound FAB

Pinkie.
