Hello,
 
which mains adapters are you recommending or do you use for the X1? I've heard that some adapters could affect and reduce the life span of the battery of MP3-players (in general) because of issues concerning the voltage or something like that.
 
I don't use to carry my notebook around when I'm on vacation, so recharging via USB isn't always an option.
 
Any suggestions?

Any decente USB charger with 1A or more will work flawlessly with your device!
 
I use my phone's adapter (1.8v) without any problems.
