I've searched and all I've found is posts praising the wonderful Lowes 6 gauge cable... but no one actually saying which cable they are speaking about! I apologize if I missed it... Specifically, which 6ga wire is so wonderful?

OK, so I went to Lowes today... there is no such thing as 6ga extension cord. The 10-ga cord they had cost over 80 bucks and was an inch think.

The 6ga wire they did have was very small in comparison to the extension cord (differing "guages" I suppose) but did not really fit the descriptions I found: it was single-conductor, it was not yellow, and it was not as big.

It is much larger than what we are using now though, so we picked some up to try it.... but what wire are yall talking about?

I though they were talking about lamp cord (such as is used to wire table lamps)?

yea its not a cord its just 6awg wire you have twist two for one speaker +/-run. should be like 25cents/foot.
