I like Utada Hikaru, oh ya get her US debut album titled Exodus. In the US she's called Utada instead. But I like Naime Amuro still she's hot for an old lady

He's one of the best singers in the world. And I do think he write most of his songs too.

Oh, Southern All Stars - Manatsu no kajitsu remains my favourite ballad ever despite having no clue what they are singing about

Grats on your 1000th post! What other artists would you recommend? Like say... top 10?

thanks. I don't think I listen to 10 other JPop artists but a few I am listening to are:

中島美嘉 (Nakashima Mika)
倉木麻衣 (Kuraki Mai)
宇多田ヒカル (Hikaru Utada) -- but NOT the Exodus album...V_V
松浦亜弥 (Matsuura Aya)
浜崎あゆみ (Hamasaki Ayumi)
梶芽衣子 (Kaji Meiko)

i also have a few mixes from ELT as well.

and for kicks, ミニモニ。(Minimoni) -- I await the laughs on that one...

Not everyone can stand the voice of Akiko Yano (矢野顕子), but her latest two projects (released under Yamaha Music) are top notch. The full-length Honto No Kimochi is a magical journey of electronics, rock, and blues sensibilities, with evocative lyrics; while the EP Hajemete No Yano features acoustic, melodious duets with some of the most talented singer-songwriters in Japan.

Orange Range own (1st contact, MusiQ and Natural). Also a big fan of YUI's album From me to you. Kotoko isn't bad either, I enjoy the two albums I have of hers (Hane and Uzu-Maki). Last Alliance are a good Jrock band aswell! I have their Me and your borderline album and it's great.

Lot's of good Japanese artists still around, but those are the ones I'm listening to the most at the moment.
