Already posted this (or similar) but in the wrong place...
I'm after something that'll block out plenty of unwanted noise (ie planes, cars) and have considered a few such as the CX300, Shure e2c, crossroads mylarone xb and Ety er6i.
So far the Etymotic headphones are top of the list (someone on here recommended them and reviews SEEM to agree),
they seem to be popular for jazz/classical but not bassy enough for hiphop/rap... but what about your standard rock? Does the lack of bass mean there's no depth to the sound, or just that you can't blow your eardrums with it?
- I've heard they produce a convincing 'sound stage'
Any help would be much appreciated - looking to spend around £40 sterling ideally (though etys are about 45 on ebay)
Please don't suggest anything really expensive as I'll get tempted and regret it
Also, is matching impedances important?
& what about buying off ebay - genuine stuff?
Cheers
