I'm interested in a headphone amp with USB DAC for use at work with my Grado SR-225's. I think I'd enjoy something more with tubes than something portable, but I've read a lot of good things about the iBasso offerings vs some of the more popular desktop budget / entry level amps. I might get an iBasso D-Zero later just to have something portable. But I spend far more time listening to headphones at my desk at work than anywhere else.
The DAC is a must have, so options are limited for tubed - hybrids. Sigh... wish there were a place I could go listen to all these in the Seattle area, but it seems I have to settle on one to start with and be ready to get more to try later. Need to keep this under $300 and yes, I'll probably be upgrading my headphones later, but first things first. The computer I have at work doesn't have good sounds to start with so investing in better headphones won't help much.
