My DT880 are revealing headphones, but the Pro900 has the detail and that extra wow factor.

Hi pearljam

For me it's HF2 with Graham Slee SOLO SRG!
I find the amp is as (if not more) important than the cans for good resolution.

I second this. My 900s are amazing. IMHO, they are one of the most under-discussed and under-appreciated cans on this site. They don't get much attention, but if you ask their owners, they always get a hearty endorsement. I'm no different.

Just the other day I was listening to a piano piece, and I swear I could hear the pianist breathe. I find myself hearing new things all the time. At least twice a day I still get chills down my back because of new little audible treasures in my collection.

p.s. oh, and upgrading to FLAC helps too

I may have misunderstood the question: what exactly do you mean by "detailed"? brighter? By the way is there a glosssary of terms somewhere for the terms used to describe how headphones sound?

Here's a Glossary for Sound.

The Precide Ergo 2. So damn "flat" and "boring" you can focus on anything.

Oh and the SR-202 also make me think that way!

my original intent was, what headphones let you hear EVERYTHING on the recording, even the faintest sound that other headphons do not.

Isnt that how headphones are supposed to sound...not extra stuff or artificial amplifications
