Beyer DT770 all the way for gaming and watching movies. They've got great directional sound (easy to pinpoint where things are happening in game), and awesome bass, plus they are nice n comfy.

how would headphones enable you to hear sounds coming from behind you? it is hard for me to understand. there are only 1 speaker/driver per L/R channel right? so are you saying, if you hear the sound, and can't see it on the screen, then you assume its behind you?

Well in battlefield 2 the sounds coming from behind change slighlty, i.e. become slightly muffled with a different tone, which gives the impression of it being behind you. Its difficult to explain but it works beautifully with headphones, better than a standard 2 speaker setup.

People complain about cmss in music. That's way you DON'T use cmss for music. It's strictly for games.

i'm not sure how similar my 580's are with the 595 but playing games and watching movies have always been great, very clear and defined
