Which headphone amp for PS3/Netflix listening?

I dont know if the playstation can output audio over usb but I use a DAC with a headphone output that is connected to the ps3 by optical digital.

yeah, I don't think you can manually output audio over USB on PS3. You might be able to work it out if you are running linux though. You're going to likely be looking at an amp/DAC with optical in. Good news is that a lot of them can be USB powered.

On a slightly different topic since I think the OP's question is answered, has anyone tried a usb amp/dac on an hdtv? More specifically, a uDAC through the usb port on a Samsung LN52B630?

same deal basically, the TV doesn't natively support audio out over USB. the USB ports only have mass storage mode drivers.
that tv DOES have optical out though, so DAC with optical in would be ideal.
