Good day!

I have this simple dilemma. I picked up a cheap Superlux HD headphones and there's this little voice inside me forcing to use an amplifier. My setup would be, use the amplifier for my Macbook when working and at the same time for my iPhone whenever I'm on the road. So, I chose FiiO E11 because of portability and sleek design.

But here's the big catch, it seems that if E11 is charging, I won't be able to use the amplifier hence it would render useless whenever I'm in front of my laptop.

The dilemma is, will I give up both 'portability' and E11 and choose another amplifier that solely for desktop use or there is a better turn around for this? If, and only if I will be giving up portability. I am leaning towards E10 thus arises another question. Can I use a USB wall charger and plugged it in the MINI USB Interface of E10?

So basically, my laptop setup would be

USB Wall Charger --> MINI USB Interface for power source, and
3.5mm Headphone Interface --> Macbook --> Line Output --> headphones

On the other hand, how does E07K work between the two?

Thank you and hoping to hear soon from you guys.

The E10 is powered by the USB port, so can not really be used with anything that is portable and/or runs off a battery charge.

The Fiio E07K can be used with both Mac and iPhone.
With the Mac, just need to run a USB cable from Mac to E07K.
With iPhone (4?), just use a Fiio L cable, connects the iPhone's LOD port to the line-in port on the E07K

NA Blur, are you suggesting me a different amplifier?

PurpleAngel, is my setup shown above fine? By the way, with regards to E07K, is it possible to run a 3.5mm from Mac as input instead of USB?

Oh by the way, it's an iPhone 5.

Run a 3.5mm cable from the Mac's line-out to the line-in on the E17, sure.
but you would be bypassing the E17's DAC, which I assume is better then the MACs.

If you got a lighning to USB cable, you might be able to use the E17's DAC while connected to the iPhone 5.
But talk to experienced and informed iPhone type, see what they say about hooking an external DAC to the Apple Lightning connector.
