It's time for me to acquire a new external 3.5" hard disk for backing up all my music. The current one I'm using is an enclosure + 3.5 disk assembled by myself over 8 years ago. Now that prices for branded external hard disks have fallen considerably, I am considering getting one of the following :

Seagate FreeAgent Desk
Buffalo DriveStation
Western Digital My Book Essential

I am planning on getting the 1TB versions with USB 2.0. Would have wanted eSATA interface, but they don't seem to have them, or at least not at reasonable prices. I went to the local computer mall today, and basically all three brands retail at the same prices.

So guys, any advice on which one to get?
