The SB-Z has much better specs and a more powerful built in headphone amp and the uDAC2 also gets a lot of bad reviews on here with poor QC the main reason.

I bought a SB-Z last year but wasnt very impressed with it at all and sent it straight back. I replaced it with a 2nd hand OPA627 modded Xonar ST (PCI version of the Xonar STX) and I really cant praise it highly enough, its in a different league to the Z, It continues to make me shake my head in disbelief every single day, easily the best audio buy I've ever made.
