i tried contacting headamp to purchase a Pico DAC but there seems to be no response, so I'm wondering what other good amps out there that are in the same price range as the Pico Dac

In that price range, I would stick it out. Justin can be hard to get a hold of at times (I've had nuts personal experiences in this regard), BUT the final product is amazingly well built - it sounds excellent (using the pico + dac in a test setup at the moment).

Calling him will get a faster response then emailing.
