Like the title said, if I do not care about anything else, which one? Should cost less than 400$ used and can still be found.

Thanks.

Also I already have HD650/580 and D2000 is on the road. I feel 650's Soundstage is pretty good but I want something bigger

Honestly, you can get a great Stax setup used for $400 no problem.

Any older Stax Lambda and an SRM1 amp (or SRD6 or SRD7 energizer) would give you great detail and a huge soundstage. I don't think any dynamic headphone at any price can touch it.

however, if you must go dynamic, the AKG K701, K702, or K501 are good for you. So is the Sony SA5000, for that matter.

AKG K701. Its soundstage is enormous and details are good too. Good amplification is needed for it to sound its best.

I wouldnt say that SA5000 has big soundstage in size (rather its quite small), but its really well defined and accurate without any sign of sounds getting compressed.

You'll find the 650's have a larger soundstage compared to the Denon D2000's when you get them, but both sound great. A lot of the impression of soundstage comes from other sources - the DAC, analog output stage, etc., but all things being equal, I really like the HD650 and the Beyer DT880 for soundstage width and representation.

My vote goes to the Stax SR-404.
Can't go much wrong detail wise with that one, for less than $400... Soundstage is quite nice as well.

Of course, those are literally useless without a stax amp, which may push you out of your budget. The Stax SR-303, however, sounds remarkably similar and might leave you some room for an amp that can drive them.

IF you want to truly get a nice large soundstage with optimal detail retrieval, I wouldn't forget about buying a suitable amp and source.
