Hi

I am thinking of getting a DAC to hook up to my sound card. Would it be best to use a optical toslink cable or a Coaxial. If I was to go with the optical is one better then the other as with the Coaxial? or is this not so critical to the sound

Thanks

Generally coax is more seseptable to jitter caused by RF interference, while optical connections are more prone to jitter caused by unsynced clocks, though optical is generally better (especially with computers) because there is no electrical connection between the transport and the DAC. Optical cables do make a difference. Many people like to use the glass toslink cables you find on eBay.

get a glass optical cable. they aren't that expensive if you look around for the better deals.
