Try large ear tips and a shallow seal. You can get seal tests on the sensaphonic site to help tell you if you have a good one

if the intent of the tips are to seat past the ear canal aperture, then the only size i can see will allow that would be xs. that's why i asked the questions.

decided to try ADV, when the custom shells are made and sent to me I can post some pictures.

i think custom molded is probably the best option and will help keep me from flooding a drawer with various ear tip styles and sizes.

will post some pictures when I get them. i am somewhat on the fence to removing this memory wire from the shure BT2. still looking around for a decent bt cable with mmcx.

anyone have exp. with the Fiio true wireless modules ... UTWS1 ? those have an elbow mmcx connection that i think would be more ergonomic than straight-out molded mmcx connectors.

utws3 looks interesting …. searching around the forum for other tidbits of info from ppl that have them.

i tried the aonic tw’s, but with universal ear tips fitted on the solo’s .... the aonics were not too bad, but the ear hooks do not allow memory shaping and kept moving the earphones from the position that I felt best. that wasn’t too good for sealing.

i suppose when i get my custom shells, any cable or molded ear hook influence on the IEM's will vanish. then it's just a matter of what's comfortable.

i am interested in making my own custom cable and maybe hacking in the remote and BT2 module with MMCX connectors of my choice. wonder if anything like that has been done around here

the ADV ear tips arrived a few days ago .... first few tries wearing them took some getting used to. fit is good and they seem comfortable so far. i did not anticipate that some lubricant/gel is really necessary to insert them in my ears and was under the impression that the coating on the tips would have some self-lubricating/slippery nature to it but that wasn't the case.

i noticed immediately that the Ria Solos sound different with the custom tips installed .... i have not yet done a more thorough side-by side comparison with reference songs to compare sound using the custom tips to the universal silicon tips.
