Pinkie you got me

As I don t have a standard Creek to do a A-B comparison I ll do the ..”memory” review. Its got 150+ hours now and almost everything is improved.I ll post my thoughts to Head-Fi too.BTW I believe that it already sounds better than the Headroom Home I had for a couple of years until recently especially with my Grados. The “Pinkie Caps”Creek plus Grado 325 is an eargasm rock combo

As for the Krell since it belongs to my buddy he will decide what toroid to use.He doesn t mind paying more he only wants “the best”.Just to tell you that he wants to build the PSU enclosure from solid granite!

if he wants the best, chances are he'd have to use separate power supplies and use a common ground point (increases soundstage). if he uses two toroidals the second one would have to be standing up (vertically) so that magnetic influences are minimised. I'd then solder both wires from the windings together, then crimp with a connector and use a bus connector to connect to the pcb. that way you can modify in the future.

magnetically and static shielded is the way you'd want to go. and he may want to use magnetic wire instead of stranded. while he's at it he may want to replace any bridge recifiers with MUR801s (fast acting rectifiers). (opens up details).

Wally I gather all info I can and give them to him (his name is Dimitris aka Jim )since I am the internet geek here

.He reckons that A-L/Plitron are superior to Nuvotem Talema,I think the Canadian company is closer to what he wants.Anyway he is going to decide the next couple of days since he wants to order at the end of the week.
(BTW with his order I will include a 30VA toroid to build a special PSU for your blue R50
