I own a pair of athena AS-F1...

the spec is here
http://athenaspeakers.com/products/as-f1-specifications/

I don't quite understand what they mean..

it says 8Ohms 200 watts
but is that per speaker? or 200 watts for both?

I haven't used them for a while, and when I bought them it was in a package. now the receiver that came with it broke, I'm force to buy a new amp...

looking to get something small/cheap.

I was wondering if something like this would work?

Well i have heard to peeps mating TA2020/2021s with floor standers if u want to go really loud + multi inputs perhaps consider a decent entry level stereo receiver? The Sherwood RX-4105 has established a good track record while still being beefy for a low price

That's just a recommendation that the speaker can handle up to 200 watts. But you can certainly use a low power amp especially if the speakers are easy to drive. Which the Athena's appear to be.
