I decided to sell my stereo gear so I have some money to spend on a second amp (tube). I already have an SS amp that I really like (Goldpoint HP Pro) but I'd like to get a tube amp also. My headphones are : Beyerdynamic DT990 (600 ohm) - AKG K 701 (selling them soon) - Senn HD600 - Grado HF-2 (soon) - Beyerdynamic T1 (Soon ???)

So far, I'm leaning toward these amps :

1-Mapletree Ear+HD
2-Decware Zen Select CSP-2
3-WA6

What do you guys think ?

The mapletree amp is wonderful for grados and very good for the 701's. The wa6 sounds better with the hd600's. The wa6 also sounds very good with the 701's and the grados. I never had the decware amp.

I like the WA6 and have a CSP2 on order. Never heard a Ear + HD.

Unless you can hear them all, I would get a WA6. Unless you can get one of the other ones faster.

Check out this thread I started a few weeks ago. I was in the same predicament and ultimately went with the Ear+ HD which I'm still waiting for. Lot's of good info in the thread. Hope it helps.
