Hey,

In a moment of inspiration my subconscious decided to plug the op-amp in the wrong way, which has consequently killed it.

I'm looking for a place that sells the JRC 4556AD in the UK for use in an RA1 amp (or some other op-amp that is compatible perhaps?).

Thanx.

Err, OPA228 and its dual channel brother are high-speed opamps and can't be used at low gain. They're sometimes tricky to get working properly.

OPA227/2227 would be just as good, but are unity gain stable. Although I don't know what gain the RA-1 and clones are set to...

What amp did you do this on? I'm aware that the jrc4556s are not the best op-amps, which is why I suggested "compatible" op-amps.

Does anyone here with an RA-1 have this information or have tried swaping the op-amps?

I"m considering chiseling one out of my cdplayer if you want that one. No guarantee if it will work or be in one piece though

Thanks for your generosity, it's much appreciated, but fortunately someone has offered to ship some from the US.
