Where to find black LEDs

I used to see ultra small pocket flashlights using black LEDs in mail order magazines all the time. I was wondering if there is a place that sells black LEDs separately. It's the best colr I've yet seen, yes, even cooler than blue.

Seems to me like something you don't want to mess with period.

What was the colour of the light, since you saw it...?

So you risk messing up your vision and living the remainder of your life with vision imparement or even blindness? The same arguement you made could be made for listening to music too loud. Yet everyone here says "don't listen at 100db!!!!" You could go deaf, then what? Life is short, but don't be stupid.

Anyone who is partial to leds ought to check out Lumileds,
Luxeon Star range, they are awesome semiconductors.
