Hi - as I will be spending some days in Tokyo at the end of June I was wondering if someone might be able to recommend good headphone / hifi stores in Tokyo which also sell the Stax line...

I have no clue, but as no one has made any suggestions yet, you should look around akihabara (秋葉原).
TONS of electronic stuff; I'm almost certain someone there would sell STAX.

i think yodobashi sells stax, and im sure there are other dealers in akihabara.

In short, around Akihabara - Ishimaru for new, Dyna 5555 1F for new, Refino & anhelo 2F for new. Ochanomizu which is close to Akihabara - Audio Union 4F for new and used. Dyna, Refino and Union are good to audition.
At Nakano - Fujiya avic for new and used, also good to audition.
Take notice we use 100V for electrics.
