I am looking for size F or M battery for a custom battery pack.
Any info about supplier of this type of battery (Ni-Mh not Ni-Cd) is welcome. Saft - France is what I want but not available in Australia (?).
A bit info about application:
Voltage 9V (8*1.2=9.6V)
Current 0.5A (peak about 2A)
Size anything above 10Ah
Has to be light (portable application) so forget about lead-acid.

If you have better alternative please share!

Suggest you use 8 of D size NiMH from Jaycar at A$22 each. These cells are 8 Amp hours.

Otherwise, you could use 48 x AA size NiMH from Jaycar (which are 1500mA hours each)!!!

Alternatively Sealed Lead Acid would be cheaper.
