Hi,

I am interested in buying a new pair of k701s. But all the places seem to have them at $280 or so. I remember they used to be ~$250 a few months ago. I'm not really interested in used headphones so FS section of the forum doesn't really work for me. Can someone help me find credible places that still sell these headphones for $250 or cheaper?

I don't know how much luck you're going to have, I bought mine new for 278 shipped. That was the lowest I could find, even after much research.

i see, thanks. it just doesn't make sense to me that headphone prices would fluctuate like this. especially go up after it's been at a lower price across all sellers.

The dollar fluctuates, and it is an imported headphone.

I dont see any lower prices than the $280 either. Are you worried about fakes or potential service and warranty issues with a less known dealership?

Just called Northern Sounds and they are selling for ~$250 with ~$20 shipping. I guess that's somewhat better. I'm not exactly worried about fakes but I would like to purchase them from a credible seller that people here on head-fi have purchased from.
