As my tube box gets more full, I am starting to ponder on getting a tube tester.
Emission type to check tube integrity may be sufficient, but a trans-conductance tester may be even better.
However, when I search on the internet, it is hard to find commercial vendors of functional tube testers. Ebay seems to list plenty of them, but most seem unreliable.
Getting a tube tester seems like such a complicated business. So fellow head-fiers, where did you get your tube testers?

I picked up mine at the local flea market. They show up there on occasion. I suspect that an amateur radio "hamfest" would be a good source for them.

I guess I can go to local radio swapmeets.

I just bought a B&K 600 and a B&K 707 off ebay earlier this week. Lots of choices as of yesterday in a wide price range.
