This is my first post ever on any forum. I currently have a Pioneer Elite vsx-23 txh receiver, and Polk audio monitor 40 series ii speakers. I have the polk PSW10 subwoofer and Andrew jones pioneer bookshelf speakers in the rear. I also own a pair of AKG Q-701 headphones and Sound blaster Titanium HD sound card. I have upgraded the op amps with burr brown OPA2132PA's and OPA134PA's. I recently bought a Littlebear P-1 Hybrid Tube amp and added a Gold Pin JJ ECC802 and love the warmth it brought to my system. just wondering where my money would best be placed for an audio upgrade, been thinking about maybe going full tube and buying a Dyanco ST-70. sorry for the horrible punctuation in advanced.

Do you like your headphones? If not, why? The biggest incremental improvement in anyone's setup is nearly always gained from upgrading the cans. Not always, but usually. Are you looking to upgrade the Q-701?

I recently bought the Q-701's and was using the k-271's before. so far I love the Q-701's, but I am just wondering if a better headphone amp like a little dot mkii or mkiii would be a huge upgrade. I can switch back and forth between my Little bear p-1 tube headphone amp and my sound blaster titanium HD and I prefer the tube sound over solid state. plus the option of tube rolling is a real plus for me. I use my headphones more than my speakers because I have a new baby. But I want to be able to use both and get a nice tube warmth.
