I'm thinking about getting one from Amazon (well, actually from office depot through amazon) for $172. The price seems good and the store is not something I never heard about. Does anyone know of a better place? Thanks in advance

Gah! I was under the impression that free shipping applies anyway, whether it's from Amazon or not

Good call. Did you order from Magnum PC personally? They only have a 14-day return policy, and only about a dozen ratings on resellerratings.com

I'll try that, thanks!

No I didn't buy from magnum-pc.

If musicians friend PM's it then that would be great cause they sell guitar strings 1/4" cable and midi cable which i need. The only thing they don't have is toslink cable.

i got mine form amazon. no tax and free shipping. since i also have the amazon visa, i get 5% credit back for buying from amazon. amazon has better return policy than most of the online stores too. so why risk it by going to a no name reseller to save a few bucks?

Got mine at Amazon also. What's not to trust about Amazon? Do online sellers get any better? I've been a customer since they started and a Prime customer for the last year. Do 90% of my online shopping with them.

As for sorting; they have recently started posting sorts by sellers, but it's on all pages.

Got mine from Magnum-PC. Seems to me they are just a webstore that distributes from stock in common with other web vendors.......several similar sites found via Froogle all showed exactly the same number in stock the day I ordered from Magnum. Magnum also had the best price available on the Griffin PowerDuo that I had to order for my daughter on that particular day, but each part of the order came from a different location. There was a bit of a delay in getting the order confirmation email from them (which actually arrived an hour or so after the PowerDuo was on the front porch) but otherwise, the price was right.

Everyone, I appreciate your answers. Today I'll contact musiciansfriend and try to get them to price-match with Magnum (45 day return policy is just too good, plus they give free shipping). If that fails, I'll just get it from Magnum directly.

Thanks!

You lucky ones ... here (FIN) 0404 USB is ~230€ (~$299US) + s/h (~14€) and if I order it from Germany (Thomann), I still need to pay ~205€ + 20€ (s/h) for it (~$293US).

172$ = ~132€ --> I can't find even 0202 USB here @ that low price.
